• Favorite Male Character

That has got to be Murphy. He is the most human hero in Silent Hill in my opinion. It gave me a huge impression when he began screaming and crying as the vortex catchs him, it’s awesome.

• Favorite Female Character

Maria! Omg Maria is awesome. I love her character and her sass. She is so tragic too. Lisa is a second favorite though, but Maria is the best one in my book.

• Least Favorite Character

Hmm is there such a thing as a least favorite character in Silent Hill? hmmm I have to think hard… Nope, none of them is a least favorite.

• Favorite Ship

Oh I am not much of a shipper… buuuut I kinda like Alessa and Claudia. I believe Claudia was in love with her and her fate traumatized her so much, she just wanted to bring a part of Alessa alive.

• Favorite Friendship

Are there friends in SH? hahahaha XD I really like Heather and Douglas, I want to think of them as best buddies after everything finished =)

• Favorite Quote

“The fear of blood tends to create fear for the flesh”. It means a lot to me and I want to get it tattooed one day =)

• Worst Character Death (if any)

Urgg I still can’t get over Lisa’s death. When she bangs the door for help and Harry just decides to run away =(

• This made me so happy you have no idea Moment

Happy? in SH? hahahahahahah well maybe when you find an awesome weapon or something like that. Usually my happiest moments are those when I find some healing item XD

• Saddest Moment

The ending of Shattered Memories. Made me cry for an hour and I was depressed for a week.

• Favorite Location

The Otherworld from Silent Hill 1. I think it’s the creepiest of them all!

And I am one of the few ones that actually did not hate it.

Let’s start by saying that I watched it way later than everyone because I had kept on waiting for it to come to Spain. It never did, so I had to download and watch it.

While I am sure the SFX would’ve been a lot better in 3D, I found them to be a bit cheesy and “on your face”. I don’t like blatant SFX so this is not something I would enjoy.
However, looking past that, I found the movie to be very interesting visually. It was beautiful. The atmosphere, the angles, the sequences were all really beautifully made.

I also enjoyed very much the bounds that the characters had between them, may it be love or hate. Heather was very close to her father, really close. On the other side, Claudia would despise everyone around her, even her very own son. Both Heather and Claudia are complete opposites, and that is something really clever.

I also loved that they told us about what Pyramid Head is, or what his role is. And I also lovedlovedloved that scene where Heather goes on the carroussel and she speaks with her dark side.

Ok, that guy playing Vincent wasn’t… amazing, and I think he could’ve done it way better than that. I even read somewhere that he has never played the games since he finds them too scary… huh.
And on the topic of actors, I found that Douglas was everything but Douglas. I wonder why didn’t they have a proper fat actor for this role?

One of the things that I like about the main characters of the movies is that they are human. They are not like in the games, where they find a gun and start shooting around. In the first movie, Rose depended on Cybil most of the time, and in this second movie, Heather was alone, alone and weak but somehow she managed to stand still until the end.

But overall, I found the movie to be very good. Overall the ending, it was veeeeery good. Of course, it is a movie aimed to fans. But people that have never played, can enjoy it the same.

Sometimes the SH fandom really drags me. Like, those who believe they’re the best “truest” fans cause they only give credit to the first 4 games.

“OMG ONLY THE FIRST FOUR ARE THE TRUE ONES!!”

And then put you in the “fangirl that would buy even toilet paper if it had SH all over it” sack, as if they were not the ones with narrow views.

Yeah.

I am not in the RE fandom but I suppose it’s about the same over there.
